Bad Scene 04:11
Bad Scene Written by Jane Mabrysmith Copyright Neatomajick Productions 2019 Ain’t interested In taking this Exit again. It’s like you don’t know who I am nor what I just said. The scattered debris Of you and me Will not be ignored. I’ve doused your drive in kerosene and locked you out my door. You gotta do more Than say you’ll change! I need action with results, cause I’m Walkin away from a bad scene Bad scene Before I burst into flames. I’m not the author of your bad dream- Just another perspective to entertain… You call me up Crying, “Tell me, what have I done?” And I gotta wonder aren’t the scars on my face enough? You try to persuade The blood in our veins Make us one. I hate to break it to you lady, blood don’t equal love! You gotta do more Than say you’ll change! I need action with results, cause I’m Walkin away from a bad scene Bad scene Before I burst into flames. I’m not the author of your bad dream- Just another perspective to entertain… Love is the word you say When you’re desperate to get your way. Do you even know the difference? Or is this just my experience? An orphan I remain, And I’m okay with that! You gotta do more Than say you’ll change! I need actions with results, cause Every time we speak It’s the same thing: No respect for boundaries, so I’m Walkin away from a bad scene Bad scene Before I burst into flames. I’m not the author of your bad dream- Just another perspective to entertain… hey

To Believe in You Lyrics by Jane Mabrysmith Copyright Neatomajick Productions 2019 The world’s fables and meanings Tables plates of lies Served on the side Like a dish Of mushroom pie Battered in shit And covered in flies How I wanted to believe in you How I hoped there was more to you Nothing like waking up To a rabbit in your cup Except the rabbit’s dead-so dead And the magician He’s dancing with His pants on his head How I wanted to believe in you How I hoped there was more to you Nothing but the ground to hold onto Floating above the painted roses There’s no Alice to be found When the Cheshire Cat’s around Meow meow How I wanted to believe in you How I hoped there was more to you I was so desperate to believe in you I can no longer believe in you

The New Day, the Mountain, the Sun, and the Shade By Jane Mabrysmith Copyright Neatomajick Productions 2019 I like sitting on the mountain Away from All this mess The knots, the strings, the ties, the hooks that bind Everyone into Hardened fractures- Beliefs pieced together in a shape Unintended: Oblivious awareness And how do we wake them? And how do we Tell them it’s time For school When the alarm clock works But no one uses it; no one cares Just an apparatus: a pointless stare... Like the clock’s tick Made us all unaware of the world within ourselves And without It means nothing to them when the clock ticks ahead The sonic pitch Falls dead against the cochlea’s end... My head pounds as my mind explodes into tiny Million fragments. There’s no more room in the body for the Broken lines Scattered behind your sleeping eyes Can be seen now. It is seen now! And you don’t know who’s looking And you don’t know Who’s been counting And you don’t know Who’s been waiting For this Time to arrive Oh blast from the past Blast me like the last time you saw me crawling from the crevasse of hell Do tell me, when was that me? The echo rings like a vow I made before I could breathe In the open sea Tell me! Was that really me? ! The cross roads is clear, trust me, I know the way Cause I made it Step forward tall, for the mountain is yours Once and for all Welcome to the new day And I’ve been here before Years ago When I could say I knew Everything About nothing And nothing About everything But this I know, this I know Nothing about nothing There is only the heart and the breath The new day, and the mountain, the sun, and the shade Carve me into the cliff where I will always meet the wave For as still as I might, nature always has the last say.

Once Upon a Caterpillar By Jane Mabrysmith © Neatomajick Productions 2019 Useless skin withers in the sand Serrated knife falls from my hand The heat of the sting burns As the vespa's wing covers The collective mind Veiled like a bride before me. Are we ready? Cause it's time to be married, To graduate life: Once upon a caterpillar, Now a butterfly. Some people call it dying But it feels like rain Cause we never stop crying On the existential train Some people call it trying And we'll be here again Cause we never stop flying On the existential plane What is me, is you What is you, is me We design our lives With the thoughts we think The thoughts we drink The thoughts we speak

Offline 04:33
Offline By jane mabrysmith Copyright Neatomajick Productions 2019 Want to get my hands on it: Your promising words Outside: My window sill Knock’s of yesterday’s Anxiety Don’t sing for me no more, The world has changed And I’m here waiting, For you to call me. Working on what I want To share with you, And I’m here waiting... To engage Oh! The beams of sadness Stream down my walls, But the support frame Remains so strong. My support: What little there is, maybe It’s all I need… Or maybe my stupid dream of meaning something Is empty And I’m here waiting, For you to call me. Working on what I want To share with you, And I’m here waiting For you to know me But I’m afraid the darkness Has taken everyone To the table of digital games, And I am on the chessboard Waiting to engage

Virago’s Lament By Jane Mabry-Smith © Neatomajick Productions 2019 What is so Unforgivable? What is that point? When an apology No longer cuts it. Is it the offense, Or the perspective Of the offended? They no longer care… Perhaps… ohh When sorry’s not good enough Sorry’s not Good enough There’s nothing to be done But you want To make it right. You wish for the real Conversation. You wonder What you have done; Or is it just them After all. Is there anything Left... When sorry’s not good enough Sorry’s not Good enough There’s nothing to be done Why are you So unwilling To state your case? What has pushed you past The edge of care? Can you name it? Will you face it? Is it them, or is it you? But in the end, there’s nothing you can do… When sorry’s not good enough Sorry’s not Good enough There’s nothing to be done
